Share a pet when another person helps manage their care. They need a Petsights account to add the shared pet.
Generate a share code
On the pet’s Home profile, use Share pet to open Sharing. As the pet owner, choose Generate code.
The code has six digits, works once, and expires after ten minutes. Give it to the person you want to share with. If it expires, choose Generate new code.
Add the shared pet
The other person opens the pet selector, chooses Add an animal, then Add a pet shared with me. They enter the six-digit code and confirm.
Check that the correct pet appears in their account before adding records.
Review the people sharing the pet
Return to Sharing to see who has access. The owner can remove a person’s access from this screen. Petsights supports sharing with up to six people; the app shows when the limit is reached.
For a link someone can view in a browser, use a public profile.
