Information we collect

We collect information you provide when creating and using an account, including your name, email address, account identifier, pet profiles, care records, reminders, expenses, notes, and documents or photos you choose to upload.

• Subscription and purchase status needed to provide Petsights+ features.
• Device push-notification token and notification preferences when you enable reminders or other notifications.
• Limited product-interaction data to operate, secure, and improve the service.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and secure Petsights and your account.
• Store and show your pet records, documents, reminders, and shared pet information.
• Process subscription entitlements and provide customer support.
• Send service emails and notifications that you request or enable.
• Provide optional AI-assisted features, such as extracting information from a document or answering questions about your pet records.
• Understand service performance and improve Petsights.

When we share information

We use service providers that process information on our behalf to run Petsights: Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage; Apple and RevenueCat for subscriptions; Apple Push Notification service for notifications; Resend for service email; PostHog for product analytics; and OpenRouter for optional AI features. We share only the information necessary for each service.

If you create a pet-sharing link or invite someone to a shared pet, the information you choose to share becomes available to the people who receive that link or invitation.

AI features

AI features are optional. When you ask Petsights to analyse a document or answer a question, the relevant prompt, selected image or document content, and necessary pet-record context are sent to our AI service provider to return the requested result. Do not use these features for emergencies or as veterinary advice.

Your choices and rights

You can update account and pet information in the app, control notification permissions in iOS, and request account deletion from the app. You may also contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or information about your data.

Data retention and security

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Petsights, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Advertising, legal disclosures, and international transfers

Petsights does not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights, safety, or security, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets. Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

Children

Petsights is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy when our practices or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated version here and change the date above.
